Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CornerCue website, web application, and embeddable feedback widget (collectively, the "Service") operated by CornerCue ("we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using CornerCue, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide a valid email address during registration.
• One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. The Service

CornerCue provides an embeddable feedback widget and a dashboard for managing user-submitted feedback, including text reports, optional screenshots, and automatically collected metadata (browser, operating system, country, page URL).

3.1 Free Plan

Free accounts receive a limited number of fully unlocked submissions per calendar month. When the monthly allowance is exhausted, new submissions are still captured but stored in a locked state (screenshot storage is excluded for locked submissions). The free allowance resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC).

3.2 Paid Plan

A one-time payment unlocks unlimited submissions for one year from the date of purchase. Paying again extends the period by an additional year. There are no recurring subscriptions. Upgrading also unlocks any previously locked submissions on your account.

4. Payments and Refunds

• Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, Dodo Payments.
• All prices are displayed at checkout and charged at the time of purchase.
• Invoices are available for download from your account dashboard.
• Since the Service provides immediate access upon payment, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you believe a refund is warranted.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Submit, collect, or transmit content that is malicious, abusive, harassing, or infringes on the rights of others.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, except where permitted by law.
• Use the Service to collect sensitive personal data (such as health records, financial account numbers, or government IDs) through the feedback widget without appropriate legal basis and user consent.
• Automate submissions or artificially inflate usage.

6. Your Content

"Your Content" refers to feedback submissions, screenshots, project names, and any other data you or your end users submit through the Service.

• You retain ownership of Your Content.
• You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.
• You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to collect and transmit any data submitted through the widget, including any data provided by your end users.
• We do not claim ownership over Your Content and will not use it for purposes unrelated to providing the Service.

7. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described therein.

If you embed the CornerCue widget on your website, you are responsible for informing your own users about any data collection that occurs, as required by applicable privacy laws.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, documentation, and branding, is owned by CornerCue and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets.

9. Availability and Modifications

• We strive to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. For significant changes that affect paid features, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users in advance.
• We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CornerCue and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Termination

• You may close your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We may delete your data in accordance with our data retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in a manner consistent with applicable jurisdiction requirements.
